Yousef + Stephanie hired me over the phone to shoot their wedding at Hotel Havana in San Antonio, Texas. They live out of town so we didn’t have a chance to meet before the wedding day, but when we did finally meet in person I felt like I already knew them so well. Their Hotel Havana wedding was intimate even though they had a large group of guests, and by the end of the day I felt like we were all a big happy family!
Evelyn + Colby are the sweetest couple, and are so completely, completely in love. I first met Evelyn over the phone, and as she described the vision for her wedding day, I couldn’t imagine not being there to capture it. They had a night-time, bohemian wedding at Hotel Emma in San Antonio, Texas.
Peanut butter and jelly. Macaroni and cheese. San Antonio summers and the paleta man. Some things seem to fit so perfectly together that it's hard to imagine one without the other. The first time we sat down with Jack and Liz to talk about their dream wedding we knew that these two belonged on the list. When the day finally arrived, our suspicions were confirmed, and we had the honor of witnessing and capturing a day positively bursting at the seams with love, joy, and beauty. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you Jack and Liz for sharing your special day with us - - we wish you endless love and happiness for many years to come!

We took a beach trip last October. Anywhere north of us it would be far to cold but in Texas it's the best time of year. I came across these images the other day while going threw some old scans. I was such a nice trip. I didn't want to bring my full set of gear on our vacation but I did smuggle in my film camera and my 50mm. I did a lot of just enjoying this trip so I only snapped a few photos. Mostly of my girl but nevertheless these images warm my heart every time I see them.
It's been a far to long since I have blogged a wedding. or blogged at all. I have been so crazy through this season it has been hard to find the time, but I am beyond blessed to have been chosen to document this day for them and so happy to finally share it.
For their May wedding, they thought that with Spring in the air and the "new beginning" that marriage represents, they wanted to incorporate fresh Spring flowers and soft floral colors, with pale pink for the bridesmaids dresses and light gray suits for the groomsmen. They wanted to add lush greenery in to the floral design and were obsessed with what Fresh Urban Flowers did with the garland draped across the head table. Touches of lavender were also added throughout the floral design. Caitlin loves anything lavender (and Jordan says the smell reminds him of her).
The overall decor was "rustic chic," from the wood cake slab, to the antique birdcage for table assignments, to the mason jars on the sign in table. Jordan and Caitlin love wine, which they wanted to show through the wine bottle table number displays and the "LOVE" sign made out of wine corks (on the cake table).
Jordan chose to make a statement with his royal blue custom-made suit from Knot Standard in a traditional double-breasted style, and Caitlin wore a beaded Enzoani wedding gown. To honor her late paternal grandfather, Caitlin wore a bracelet made out of crushed flowers that were displayed at his funeral, and the necklace and earrings belonged to her late maternal grandmother.
Classic beauty + gorgeous dress + beautiful light = one of my favorite bridal sessions! We had originally planned to do this shoot outdoors but the weather (omg so humid and hot ) moved us inside. I am so happy we did! I have been sitting on these for a while now and I am so excited to finally share since she and her husband where married last night! Congrats to Audrey and Carlos!

My daughter is wonderful, feisty, intelligent, loving, funny, silly, and tough. She already has five Halloween costumes because she can't seem to make up her mind. She wants to be a clown and not a creepy clown like a legit clown, a princess, a cowboy, a monster, a minion, and a blueberry. But she also wanted to put on some hand wraps and dress up like a fighter.
I had just pick her up from school so she was covered in paint. But I though hey that's who she is so I kept it for the portrait. Sof was all business! We put on the wraps that were way to big for her so they go up to her elbows. She went right in to showing me her punches and kicks. Laughing historically in between. But giving me her best intimidating faces just like her favorite athlete. Sofia just turned 4 the other day. She loves dancing, singing, painting ( you can tell by her knees) and telling jokes. She my favorite little muse.
Kacy and Blake's Hyatt Hill Country Resort and Spa wedding! Bright and beautiful not only describes this wedding but also Kacy and Blake. From the flowers to to the dancing everything was amazing. Of course if you haven't guessed yet the design and coordination was by the amazing Sweet August Events. San Antonio's best Dj's was also there keeping the evening flowing and the beautiful flowers we carefully and beautifully created by Tuscan Rose. Congratulations Kacy and Blake!
ZaZa Gardens Wedding Reception for Shelbee and Jordan!
Mission San Juan wedding for Jessica and Damon! What a loving, sweet wonderful couple. It was raining that day but we made the best of it and had a little fun! Congrats Jessica and Damon!
Soft Clean and Simple. She speaks for herself. Lana was the perfect newborn baby. Even her little cries at the end were sweet and less than a few seconds. What a sweet loving family. So blessed to be apart of documenting this little ones life.
Cassie is such a bright and fun person! We had so much fun with this session. We had confetti, glitter, mini skate boards and balloons! What more could a photographer ask for!
